One
of the advantages of living in the heart of a national forest is
knowing that year after year, the fall colors will be spectacular!
The Chippewa National Forest is well known by those who annually
follow fall color tour routes. There are miles of driving, hiking
and biking routes to explore in these Northwoods. And there is
nothing more spectacular than sitting in a boat on Island Lake
watching the brilliant colors reflect in the dark blue waters.
So what are you waiting for, call now to book your reservation, before
it's too late!
Looking For Great
Fall Hunting?
Look No Further!
The
forest surrounding Northshore Bay Resort is full of
Ruffed Grouse. These birds are exciting and a challenge to hunt.
The season for grouse and partridge begins in mid-September, and there
is nothing like walking thru the forest on a beautiful fall day in the
Northwoods. Give us a call to set up your next Grouse Hunting
trip - 1-888-219-5235.
For
the "really big game" hunter, the season for Minnesota Black Bear
opens at the beginning of September. According to the Department of
Natural Resources, the Minnesota bear population is about 30,000 and
has been estimated to be increasing at a rate of 6 to 7 percent each
year. The license application deadline is in early May. Northshore
Bay Resort is in a quota area that allows one bear taken per hunter.
Bear hunters staying at the resort have had great success over the
years and we invite you to try your luck here this fall. Ask us
about guided hunting trips.
